Right at the intersection of Hwy 87 & 16, we noticed an RV park called Rafter J Bar.we decided to drive through it on our last day, and wished we had stayed here - it was gorgeous, with large sites and a huge meadows in the middle of the campground. Bonus: staying at Horsethief means you’ll always be only 18 minutes away from Dead Horse Point State Park (yes, that’s really the name). On another note, I had done so much research to find a nice spot to camp while we were here, and had trouble finding anything really nice online, so I picked this place for location more than anything. For days, I just couldn’t get over the fact that our water might have been tainted.
